Terms of Use
Last updated: October 3, 2026
These Terms of Use govern your use of impostergamegenerator.net and the Imposter Game Generator game (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
1. The Service
The Service is a free, browser-based party game that lets groups play a secret-word imposter game on one device or in online rooms. We may change, suspend or remove features at any time without notice.
2. Who can use it
You may use the Service if you can legally agree to these terms. If you are under the age of majority where you live, please use it with a parent or guardian’s permission.
3. Acceptable use
When you use the Service, you agree not to:
- break any law or violate the rights of others;
- harass, threaten, bully or discriminate against other players;
- post hateful, sexual, violent or otherwise abusive names, words, drawings or chat messages;
- impersonate another person or share other people’s personal information;
- disrupt rooms, spam players or interfere with how the Service works;
- probe, attack or overload the Service, or access it by automated means that harm it.
4. Content you provide
You are responsible for the names, custom words, drawings, clues and chat messages you enter. Other players in your room will see them. We do not pre-screen this content and are not responsible for what players say or draw, but we may remove access or block abuse if we become aware of it.
5. Online play
Online rooms depend on internet connections and third-party services, and the host’s browser runs the game. If the host leaves or loses connection, the room ends. We do not guarantee that rooms will always be available or error-free, and we are not responsible for the conduct of other players.
6. Intellectual property
The website, its design, text, logo, code and word lists belong to us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may play the game and share links to it, but you may not copy, resell or republish our content or code without permission. Pictures shown for words come from Wikipedia and Wikimedia and belong to their respective owners. Other names and trademarks belong to their owners.
7. Third-party services and links
The Service uses third-party tools, such as PeerJS and Wikipedia, and may link to other websites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability or non-infringement.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Nothing in these terms limits any rights or liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Indemnification
You agree to be responsible for claims or losses that arise from your misuse of the Service or your breach of these terms, to the extent permitted by law.
11. Termination
We may restrict or end your access to the Service at any time, including if you break these terms. You may stop using it whenever you like.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version, and continued use after a change means you accept it.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the site owner is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any mandatory consumer rights you have in your own country are not affected.
